Tuk-Tuk Challenge 2024
Over £25,000 raised for BBC Children in Need
Back in July 2024, David and Kevin had a crazy idea, to travel from their headquarters in Bideford to the Orkney Islands in a Tuk-Tuk as part of their 5th birthday celebrations, and to raise funds for BBC Children in Need.
But they did it and so far, they have raised over £25,000. Sporting a giant wedge of cheese on the roof, David and Kevin travelled from Devon to Scotland – a journey that included 29 stops and more than 1600 miles.
The pair visited many of the major UK cheese producers in England, Wales and Scotland along the way, tasting and grading their cheese, starting with Parkham Farms in Devon, and finishing at Kirkwall Creamery on the Orkney Islands, nine days later.
As part of their adventure, David and Kevin visited Persie Distillery, home of Millbrook Dairy’s 1057 Gin, and Balmoral Castle hoping to drop off some 1057 Extra Mature Scottish Cheddar for the King and Queen.
David and Kevin certainly had an adventure and are delighted to have raised over £25,000 for Children in Need, an amazing charity that helps fund thousands of projects in every corner of the UK.
Their family and friends have sponsored them as well as some of their wonderful supply partners and customers. If you would like to sponsor them, please click here.
