Millbrook Dairy Company offers new ‘personalisation’ service for product development

The Millbrook Dairy Company, which has seen extraordinary success in its first two years’ trading, has launched a new service to UK wholesalers and foodservice operators offering its expertise alongside a highly personalised service in the creation and development of new formats and flavours across both cheese and butter.

Millbrook’s new service is specially aimed at wholesalers who are looking for fresh opportunity and to meet bespoke foodservice needs, opening up exciting avenues for Foodservice operators as they emerge from the impact of Covid and Brexit.

Kevin Beer, Co-Founder and Director of the Millbrook Dairy Company reinforces that the demand for innovation and individualism within Foodservice markets has never been stronger:

“The appetite for signature products has been growing steadily over the past few years, and despite the pain experienced by operators through Covid with closures and lockdowns, this looks set to be a key component of future menu provision as the Hospitality sector opens its doors again.

“Whilst butter and cheese remain a basic commodity in many foodservice channels, there is still a desire for fresh thinking, and that increasingly means bespoke products which operators can put their brand on as an exclusive ingredient or ‘limited edition’ across their marketing activity.

“Our message to wholesalers and operators is very simple; ‘how can we help you with direct approaches, that you may be experiencing for new and personalised products in order to meet the need of your customers and against a backdrop of changing consumer behaviours?”

“This might include signature cheeses, new and different additives, sweet or savoury flavouring, innovative formats and shapes, or just different sizes.  Our team excels in thinking outside the box and this is about exploring the ‘art of the possible’ together and sharing concepts and development that will ultimately delight the end consumer...

“We will work in partnership with wholesalers – or foodservice operators – to develop and bring to market the right product, at the right price, that meets their individual needs”.

Now about to enter its third year of trading, The Millbrook Dairy Company smashed all its targets in its first two years since formation in early 2018.  Now turning over in excess of £18m per annum, the Devon-based business was founded by Kevin Beer and David Evans, two highly respected figureheads in the dairy sector, well known for their skills in grading and selecting the finest cheeses and flavours to grace the supermarket shelves, over the past two decades.

Now working in partnership with wholesalers, retailers and foodservice operators, the company also has a growing export arm

Beer concludes:

“In today’s market, agility is key – we can move fast and whether our customers are looking for specialist flavour profiles or new formats, or would just like to bounce ideas around, we’re here to help”.
